Stream Audio Over The Air, and Video On The Internet! |
If you have a regularly scheduled radio program, we can webcast it for you. Webcasting is a means for a program creator to expand their audience. You can reach out to people who listen on the Internet from work because over-the-air radio is not listenable in most offices. And you can reach others who might not be able to listen to your program at the regularly scheduled time by recording your program and making it available on demand by a clickable link on your web site. Some program hosts are excited by the ability to make their program easily available for review by other stations who are looking for syndication material.
For example, we webcast for financial services broadcasters that only broadcast at selected times, such as at the start and close of the markets. One of our financial services customers broadcasts and webcasts a live program at 6 am which we re-webcast at 8 and 10 am, then they broadcast and webcast another program at noon which we re-webcast at other selected times of the afternoon and evening. Another customer, The Bald Truth, broadcasts a specialty program about hair loss and treatments on Sunday nights -- we webcast that program and make “archives” available for later listening. We can pretty much do anything anyone might want in webcasting live or recorded content.
How It Works
- You need a webcasting server computer that encodes your source material and transmits it to our data center -- we can provide you with a suitable server pre-loaded with all the necessary software. You could use a dial-up connection to the Internet, although a full-time connection (DSL, cable modem, etc.) is more reliable.
- We can tell you how to set up the schedule or we can do it for you -- it’s not very difficult.
- You connect your audio/video source to the encoder server.
- The encoder automatically turns on at the preset time of each event, and turns off at the corresponding pre-set time. While the encoder is turned on, it simultaneously records the event while it broadcasts the event to our data center
- Your audience clicks on a “listen live” button on your web site to access the “stream” as it is being broadcast live.
- When the event is over, the recorded file is automatically transferred to our data center.
- You post a link on your web page in association with each recorded (“archived”) file -- when a listener or viewer clicks on that event link they are connected to our data center and we rebroadcast that event to them.
It is simple and automatic.
E-Commerce Opportunities
- Charge for listening/viewing: offer a music or video clip for free, but charge for the full song, album, or video
- Accept Donations: offer free access to your material, but give your audience the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution
- Subscription: Offer subscription access to your material for any time period or monetary amount you desire
- Downloading: Offer your listeners the opportunity to download the recorded item, rather than listen or watch the stream
- Sell ads: present gateway (before the program starts) or interstitial (between songs) audio or video ads
- Sell products: from your website or right from your player
(All financial arrangements use PayPal as your payment gateway and credit card processor)
